Broadband getting slower and slower
Hi everyone,
Just came here to ask about an issue I'm having with my Sky Broadband.
I have been quite happy over the past year with the speed of my internet. The router has been syncing at around 16Mbps down and 1Mbps up. Other than the extremely slow GUI on the router I have been happy enough.
Over this past week or so I have noticed my speed dropping and dropping day by day. As I said the router used to sync at around 16Mbps with a noise ratio of just over 6dB. Now it has decreased to 11Mbps with noise of 11.2dB. Upload has stayed the same though.
Nothing has changed on my end wiring-wise. Perhaps a fault further on the line? DLM running again? (Last ran in September 2011) Bad router? (The router has been doing my head in with it's slow config GUI taking like 2-3 minutes just to go to a different page. I've disabled wifi on it and use a TP-Link WR1043ND for that now)
Anything I should try?

I take it you have rebooted the router? If you have call Sky and ask them to configure your line. DLM may have found a temporary fault and reduced the speed. Unfortunately, when this happens it seldom if ever, puts the speed back up when the fault is cleared.
