poor speeds and dropouts
i recently suffered a few dropouts (and fifa 12 loses cos of) with sky unlimited which along with poor speeds promted me to call bt to enquire about infinity and as usual not for me yet but the bt fella did say i should achieve 5.5mb, but for a long time i havent achieved more than 1.45mb previously averaged 3mb but this seems along time ago(altho still p**s poor by todays standards).
any1 had this, can offer a reason or sudggest a way to aproach sky?, yes done all the usual checks router resets, and other things 1.45mb is from router page, router is a d-link standerd sent out by them but i have had the netgear also which broke but speed was the same, my exchange is hyde (sk14) infinity enabled but not quite at my addy yet
cant post stats as usin the netbook to do this so no snipping tool to capture a screenshot..

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
You should do better than that. Do you have a Test socket(link below)? If so, plug into it and post your stats from there. Use only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky and check when the faceplate is off that all of your other extensions are dead.

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
Hi no test socket, 2 sockets in the house and using the main 1 i have been through this before with them they even made me change the phone socket for a new 1 and it resulted in being a fault on the exchange but this was more of a dropout issue when the phone was used, ive tried 100s of filters plugging unplugging the phones u name it ive done it, the phone is currently plugged into the secondary in another room (nothing changes if unplugged) as they told me it was interfering with the skybox this is plugged into the same line a bb but again makes no odds when unplugged, again 3-4 pcs/nettbook/lappys and all same speeds..

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
Do you have another router you can plug in? It does not need to connect to Sky, just report the stats.
