Re: poor speeds and dropouts
I will not matter, you are probably better on G.DMT, getting rid of the interference is the main thing.

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
Ok bit of an update here having posted this on av forums aswell (well the hd box causing errors) i got a few replys 1 sudgesting i should disconnect the rigner wires from the socket basically anything not in slots 2 and 5, now this has been done my downstream noise margin has jumped up to 12-13 db from 7-8db where it was after the reconfiguration by sky so having called them back they have now set about an auto dml reconfiguration so hopefully i might get a sharp speed increase the, interweb does feel sharper tho already..
this is the link to the other forum if anyones interested..

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
Ring wire interference is one of the things shown up by usig the Test socket. Did they say they were restarting DLM? It looks like you are capped at 2048/448. If it does not move tonight I would call back and ask them to configure your line manually.

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
You are capped. If you weren't you would be syncing higher and have a noise margin of 7. The fact that you have a noise margin of 13db means the line cannot connect any faster, ergo, you are capped.

Re: poor speeds and dropouts
If the speed has been set originally be DLM it may not appear to be capped to the advisor, but it is. You should now get 4-5 Mb.
