Looking very good. You should be in line for around 13-14 Mb.
I take it you have no extensions fitted yet? If this is the case there will be no difference between the Test socket and the faceplate.
Just beat me Scubbie, but I think 20 Mb is very unlikely with an attenuation of 30+db.

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
Thanks both of you for the heads-up, hopefully I get the full 20mb lol. will be happy with 13-14. I noticed my ping was very high during a speedtest - 78ms average.
I have the fliter in for the phone and adsl.
I'm on adsl2??
How often should i test stats?
Also what should i be looking for in the noise margin and attenuation?
Up or down?

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
Phooey, sorry Tom is more correct. I misread the Noise Margin as the Line Attenuation. Sorry to mislead you and provide you with false hope.
DLM will normally kick in any time up to 4 days after the installation. If you would like to check your connection stats in the morning, take particular attention of the 'System Up Time' which will reset between 1am and 6am first. If this hasn't changed, then DLM hasn't changed your connection speeds.

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
lol ahhh, thats ok dont worry, i was never expecting 20mb anyway. I'll keep an eye on the system up time and the stats every day then.
Should i be looking for noise to go up or down? Will the attenuation go down or up during dlm?

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
Just enjoy it - no point watching the SNR rise and fall as the day goes by!!!
Only time to take a look is when things go wrong - otherwise just leave it be-------------------------------------------

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
As your sync speed rises the noise margin will fall. When it gets to about 6db, that will be very near your final figure.

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
Up time on router hasn't reset yet, but strangely my speed has increased.
Does this mean DLM has kicked in from the very start?
stats for this mornining:
System Up Time: 20:05:09
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time WAN MER 9752 5596946 0 35 0 5:46:56 LAN Down 0 0 0 0 0 20:05:09 WLAN Up 5603146 3550775 0 0 1399 20:04:48 ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 6142 kbps 797 kbps Line Attenuation 30.5 dB 18.0 dB Noise Margin 13.8 dB 16.7 dB
Think I'm looking good here, up to 6mb now.

Re: Sky broadband unlimited ordered. Any pointers?
You have resynced, 5 hours 46 mins before you took the ststs., it is the WAN uptime which indicates this. The system uptime will not change until the router is rebooted. Note your noise margin has come down as the speed goes up.
The sync speed is called the connection speed in the stats.
