Re: Viewing CCTV on internet and Mobile
Still no better.
However it may be that I can't access via the 2nd two ports anyway.
My browser responded with a message saying that it received no responding data, which is different to the previous occasions. This suggests that it may well all be working now. Use your phone to check.

Re: Viewing CCTV on internet and Mobile
There are many options DM. It depends on what you intend to do, if/how you wish to record potential 'intruders' and what kit you have already (i.e. NAS).
The IP Cameras I have can do quite a bit and were relatively easy to set up. The picture quality is also very good in a variety of lighting conditions.

Re: Viewing CCTV on internet and Mobile
Im getting the Swann page up now from works computer, but now i got the problem of it needing to install HiDvrOcx.cab file and I dont have admin rights to allow that. Getting there slowly, will have to think of another pc to try it on.
Now working on my mobile phone using IP Cam Lite app
Thanks for help and emails so far.Last edited by dar1000; 26-05-12 at 03:28 AM.

Re: Viewing CCTV on internet and Mobile
Is it actually admin rights or a 'Windows has blocked this software' message? If it is the latter, have a look here-
DvrOcx.cab Windows has blocked this software because it cannot verify the publisher | AvoidErrors

Re: Viewing CCTV on internet and Mobile
Hi there.
i have exactly the same system and I am suffering similar problems setting up and would really appreciate some help as its been a week of banging my head against the wall (and swearing at my sky router)
I have the sky router as described, I have the dvr4-1300 swann system, I have a laptop and iPad and android phone.
So far I have set up a dns with no-ip
i have configured my dvr to run a static ip
i have configured the dns settings on the dvr which is testing and updating ok
i have set the custom services on my router as per the images on page one of this thread
i have set he firewall rules as per the images on page one
However I cannot view my dvr on any of my devices including my laptop.
Not on my LAN, nor 3G
Can anyone help?

Apart from the previous advice in the thread, there is not much more I can add.
