Slow upstream
I have recently had an issue on my line, line fault. Openreach fixed issue, now my line attenuation has gone back to normal.
My downstream is connecting at the rate I used to 10238 but my upstream fails to go above 798 with a 16db Noise Margin.
Sky say my profile is still the same (18Meg). I have had this profile set by one of their tier 3 support engineers and had no problems until my line went faulty.
DLM is disabled, and router connected to test socket via a filter, all other phones have filters. AL usual stuff, so its not line and not filter (tried new ones). Why wouldn't the upstream connect at the usual 1076 speed I used to get???
Any ideas other than keep on at sky and risk them screwing things up worse as they have done in the past.

Re: Slow upstream
18mbps profile is - 18016/1216.
With the current trained in figures, it sounds like you're on a 10240/800 profile. If you were indeed on a 18mbps profile, then the upstream wouldn't be capped to 800kbps. Ring them back up and ask to be put onto either the 18 or 20mbps profile.

Re: Slow upstream
Yes, phoned them and on 10240 profile. After complaining about them changing the profile, they reluctantly changed it back. Now working fine again
thanks
