Re: New connection
The initial DLM process will start after up to 3 or 4 days from the installation date.
It will then run for anything between 3 to 20 days. In most cases it will complete before the 10 days, but will often be completed before then.
Leave your router connected to the Master Socket and leave it powered up all the time during this period.
Your "My Sky" page on the Sky website will confirm 3 days after DLM has completed. Should your line need any modification after this time, please post your stats in this thread and we can help more from there.
Once completed DLM will continue to monitor your line. It is actually best for the router if you can leave it on 24/7.

Re: New connection
Apologies for hijacking a thread with my first post but I've got a query on a new connection as well. I was activated three weeks ago.
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time WAN PPPoA 678802 751405 0 415 472 2:38:37 LAN Up 2571420 2501730 0 0 54 26:28:58 WLAN Up 386997 225217 0 8059 2375 0:04:45 ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 18364 kbps 926 kbps Line Attenuation 24.5 dB 13.9 dB Noise Margin 6.9 dB 8.5 dB
Above are my latest router stats. It's a stable connection, no drop-outs in two weeks; I reset the router yesterday. The router is in to the NTE5 master test socket and in to a pc. I'm using the F@ST2504n router.
My query relates to my attenuation. It jumped to 24.5db from 20db overnight. This doesn't seem to have affected my throughput. I'm a little puzzled why this should happen and will it affect the line training?
Thanks for any advice and best wishes.

Re: New connection
Your stats look fine.
Could you use SamKnows to see if your exchange is currently having Fibre installed?

Re: New connection
If you have a Test socket, link below, plug in there using only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky and take your stats. There appears to be something wrong somewhere when you are not even able to sync at the usual minimum of 4Mb and looking at your noise margin, you are unlikely to get near that. Also check that everything you have plugged into the phone circuit is passing through a filter. This especially includes Sky digi boxes.
ADSL2+, which you are on now is much less forgiving than ADSLMax(G.DMT) as it uses much more of the available frequencies, any problems will be accentuated.
