Could anyone kindly recommend a service for accessing U.S. only content - like turntable.fm?
A friend mentioned UnoDNS which seems to have a free plan, but when I sign up it offers a Gold 8-day free trial.
Also what connection speed is required for video? I ran a speed test: broadband speed = 3.77 Mbps which seems slow.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: U.S. content
I can recommend Unblock Us - smarter faster VPN it's $4,99 and you can just use their DNS (or their little program if you wish) They have a weeks no obligation trial (which I used before I signed up)
I use it to get on Hulu and the US netflix which you can do with a UK account.
You keep your IP address and speed - just the DNS changes when you hit american sites it works. I have no problems with any of the UK sites I access and I use their DNS all the time.
3.77mbps will run HD on the BBC. but to double check here's their page
BBC iPlayer - Check your connection speed

Re: U.S. content
Many thanks for the recommendation. Wow, that's sounds excellent for just over £3/month.
Do most services work this way? (where you keep your IP, just the DNS changes when accessing American sites).
I'm slightly perplexed by the different terms - Proxy, VPN, DNS.
