Re: Where did my extra 2mbps just come from?
Sky probably bit the bullet and decided to stop saving energy, and increased the power management of DLM so that you now get faster speeds.
Most people would be happy, but then, some would then decide to start a thread stating that Sky are skimping on the eleccy to save x £millions per year.
/oops wrong thread, sorry!~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Where did my extra 2mbps just come from?
Interesting, I have had dlm re-started 10 days ago due to rubbish sync speeds. It has been resyncing around 2:30am as per normal, but the last 2 resyncs it has resync'd with a target noise margin of 3.5dB [confirmed by router logs]. Today is 10 days and it never resync'd last night. NM is currently 4dB.

The DLM process has been 'upgraded' quite recently. I'm not sure if there always have been but never used them, but there are 3dB and 6dB target SNR profiles that it may be applying now.

Re: Where did my extra 2mbps just come from?
They may have realized that 7 db was far too conservative for most lines.
