Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.

Plus Net where doing this last year as well. I could not download 1 particular iOS update and after some investigation it turned out their traffic management system wasn't configured correctly and had labeled Apple http traffic incorrectly.

Interesting. I also had this problem (on Sky Broadband Unlimited) for a day or two after the download was released. I briefly wondered if Apple servers were refusing traffic from certain territories for the first day or two to avoid overloading their servers in the face of unprecedented global demand (which I think had been a problem when iOS 5.0 was released). But then I read elsewhere that temporarily changing to OpenDNS servers would solve the problem, so I did that and thought no more about it!
