Isleworth Exchange woes
Not only is it the only exchange in the area with out FTTC and an ever changing arrival date but the Sky service has suffered an outage since yesterday!!
I work from home and rely on the net connection so this is really becoming a problem , I was already tempted by Virgins cable service now I may well take it up.

Re: Isleworth Exchange woes
FTTC installation dates are governed by BTO and BDUK. There is not a great deal that Sky can do in this regards.
As for outages, I haven't noticed anything come through on the feed from Sky. I have also just looked at the Sky site and there is only one broadband issue. This is related to the slow speeds that some are experiencing.
Any supplier can experience temporary problems in different pars of the country.
I would point out though that Sky Broadband is a domestic product. If you had a specific product for work, then your down time would be much less as your line would be prioritised and you would be entitled to compensation if it was down for a matter of a few hours. The compensation should also cover loss of business.
I suspect that Virgin Cable is also a domestic product. I would suggest that you really read their T&Cs before signing up too. The clause about them having the right to examine the content of any computer connected to your network is particularly interesting.
