Speed Halved Apparently nothing wrong......
Ive had pretty much a 2mb connection with sky now for around 4 years, ive always synced at roughly 1956kbps. I woke up one morning last week and it was synced at a little over 1mb.... I gave it a few days and nothing changed. I phoned sky and they sent a bt engineer out who after ran tests and checks said the line was fine, I tried explaing ive been up towards 2mb for last 4 years, but neither he nor sky customer services can do anything about it!! They have change profile, from adsl to asdl2, different upload and download rates but to no avail. Its just great to see how technology is moving forward and my internet connection is moving backwards!!!!!!!!!!!! Any one any ideas why or how this might have happened.....

Have you added anything to the phone circuit recently, such as a Sky digi box or phone?
Try plugging into the Test socket and post your stats from there.

Have the same issue i have had a netr speed of about 3/4 meg for 3 years but in the last two weeks its gone right down.nothing changed to wiring,ive tested all the bt sockets,
