Just to clarify that the solution I described in post 6 (Netputing's AirPrint Activator) works just fine with my Sky supplied router (Netgear DG834GT V1) and my iPhone (and the iPad of Mrs. S) and my old-ish HP network printer (which is not AirPrint compatible) and no e-mail is involved in getting stuff printed from my iPhone! It all happens wirelessly...

Speeyrite et all thank you, that is the information I was looking for, it's the router that pulls it all together, not the ISP, you are right to point that out. I will try your router. I will give you feedback on my quest.

I've got an AirPrint compatible HP, and have printed to it without issue via my current Sky wireless N router and my previous Sky Netgear DG834 router.
