You need to get through to CST so play nice with Tier 1 and don't jump straight in with technical lingo. Once at CST, explain what appears to be the issue and that you're not alone with the problem. Don't go quoting this forum as no one in Sky will look at it whilst in work.
The big thing is EVERYONE with the issue needs to report it as one person will be seen as an isolated incident. The more that call in will mean that it gets flagged as something that needs investigation by the network team/Faults Management to see if there is actually an issue
Good luck - this might be quite a drawn out process. Might also be worth posting on the official forums as well if no one has already as that might get noticed too-------------------------------------------

You can always email Support through MySky and that way write a full description of the issue & it'll go to someone who'll understand it.
It's free that way if you don't - like me - have SkyTalk.

Whilst it is very useful to discuss the issue on this forum, and the members have been very successful in helping to resolve many issues, have you contacted Sky with regards to this?
Unfortunately most people appear to agree that it is not deliberate traffic shaping, but rather a network problem somewhere.
PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021

Sky categorically do not traffic shape if you are on an LLU product.
If you are having issues, then it could be a genuine network error (within Sky's control) and they need to know about it.
They won't have purposely caused the error or the slow speeds. Otherwise everyone in the UK could sue them and walk away from their contracts.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Fibre is on it's way and so I'll see what 08:30 brings then. In the meantime after 08:30 is no big deal. Just like being with B.T. really.

The fact very few people complain about the issue, tells me it is area specific. You shouldn't have to accept Connect like symptons on Sky's LLU products as they do not purposely traffic manage in anyway that I am aware of, it is exactly what they advertise, unlimited.
I haven't read all of the thread, so I am not sure if you have spoken to Sky or not?
Maybe worth a phone call if you haven't - But don't confuse them lol~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Another test using a wireless laptop, will edit post again later:
Usenet using Astraweb servers port 563 SSL and 6 threads.
07:15 - 400Kbs to 650Kbs
08:00 - 400Kbs to 600Kbs
10 threads:
08:15 - 400Kbs to 800Kbs
Now watching it through 08:30
08:30 > 08:40 - 800Kbs
Seems OK to me.Last edited by BritBrat; 15-02-12 at 09:40 AM.
