Re: My stats?
Either would be fine. Personally I'd prefer to call as I could ensure that I was not placed back on DLM and could make sure that the stats were fine when the job was completed.
Do remember to look at both connection speeds. Some have in the past crippled the upstream connection in error.
Also be prepared to make to or 3 calls as not all of Sky's support staff have access to the systems to allow them to adjust your line speed.

Re: My stats?
Hmm, I have just signed up with them for line rental, saved me £8 a month, however I got 12 months free line rental so have had HD installed (Its like It's for free lol).
The phone went dead wile on hold to talk to broadband about the modem, when I rang back some indian tried to obtain £28 from me.
NO ta, I'll go ebay first.
Might try again, with the modem turned off so it wont work.
Cheers.

Re: My stats?
There's a chance you might be moved to the SVBN so bare this in mind as moving away from Sky BB will be a harder process in future

sky voice & broadband network... so apart from being harder to move from - is there any other problems with it?

Re: My stats?
SVBN means that people at Sky have more ability to tweak your connection settings.
Should you decide to move away from Sky at a later date, then there could be a delay (typically around 10 days) to get your BB up and running with a new supplier. Also sometimes people find it difficult to keep their telephone number when they move to another phone provider.
Ultimately there is no major faults with the kit. You get the caller display on phones that have that feature. Broadband is able to be delivered at ADSL2+ speeds.

Re: My stats?
ADSL2+? cool (whoosh - over the head) maybe that will be faster than 16mb lol
A constant connection with low pings is all my kids want.
The wife is now upset megaupload has been closed. (Might give the rest of us a better connection for few days - lol)

Re: My stats?
If you have a d/l speed of 16mb, then you are already on ADSL2+.

Re: My stats?
This gets said a lot - but does not seem to be true! All evidence seems to say that, certainly if you want to go go back to BT, then the change back gets sheduled to happen at a date in the future and, like the move from BT TO Sky, it takes minutes to occur. Also as BT still "own" the number this isn't an issue either!
