Sky automatic upgrade - contract clarification
Hi,
I am currently on sky broadband everyday LITE. Have been with SKY for over 3 years.
I have slightly gone once over usage allowance once last month and hence asking this question. I called up sky but was confused by their reply,
My query i as below
If sky automatically upgrade me to their unlimited package due to me going above my 2gb allowance again would that mean a new automatic 12 month contract for me ?
Can anybody clarify please ?
Thanks,
Negs

Re: Sky automatic upgrade - contract clarification
hi negs. unless it's recently changed, you'd be on unlimited for 1 month & then you can switch back to lite. if i remember some old posts correctly, sky will let you do this a few times before insisting on a more long term spell on unlimited.

Re: Sky automatic upgrade - contract clarification
Thanks for your reply.
So my understanding is that i will not be tied into a new contract.
I was thinking to call SKY to upgrade me to unlimited but they were saying that this would mean a new 12 months contract.
So i would be better off SKY automatically upgrade me to unlimited.
I would really appreciate if somebody can confirm my understanding?
Thanks,
Negs

Re: Sky automatic upgrade - contract clarification
yeah thats how i understand it. if THEY pass you onto unlimited due to going over your lite limit, theres no new 12 month contract & you can flip around monthly. i may even have read that on skys own website somewhere.
