Filtered Faceplate
Hi,
I am looking to buy a new adsl filtered faceplate,
As i think my previous one is faulty,
My download speed was 2680 and noise margin 5.2db with the faceplate on and in the test socket without the faceplate my speed has risen to 2920 and noise margin 7.1db,
Do you think a faulty faceplate is causing this,
If so what is the best recommended filtered faceplate i can buy,
I can supply my router stats if required,
Thanks for any help

Runit' usually do a next day delivery, but with Xmas, it may be a bit longer.

Re: Filtered Faceplate
Hi,
The faceplate i have fitted now is just over a year old,
Wonder if its time for a change or should theese last longer?

Re: Filtered Faceplate
They should last much longer than that. Mine is over 5 years old and is one of the cheaper type linked by Runit'. Give the plug a clean with an electric contact cleaner or WD40, it may just be making a poor connection.

Re: Filtered Faceplate
Should last much longer than that. The alternative design I linked to is more likely to fail earlier due to the transistor design. Did you get it from us? If you did please email us your order ID and date.
