Phone Socket Won't Accept MicroFilter?
My broadband is due to be activated tomorrow however I had a look at the cables and noticed that my phone socket directly accepts the ADSL cable with the small face instead of the larger micro filter one ?
Will this be a problem?
Basically it's the normal box but with a rectangle in the middle and just the little socket for the ADSL cable.
I am moving house so I am currently stayin in my Brothers house who didn't have a landline before so never noticed it.
I could show a picture but it's on my iPhone and I have no way of uploading it
I am having a Sky Talk line activated tomorrow and a engineer is booked to come tomorrow.
What will te engineer actually come and do?
Nope no labels and there is only a ADSL socket.

Where do you plug your telephone in?
You may well have a filtered faceplate. Could you take a look at the article below and see if you have something like one of them.

Are there no labels on the sockets? There should be two sockets, one for phone and one for adsl.

It looks like it may be either an American type phone socket or a network socket. Is it the only socket in the house? When you unscrew the faceplate, what is behind it?

It's the same in the living room and the two bedrooms :S
Not tried unscrewing it,
And definately not a Ethernet socket,
It only accepts the really little ADSL cable.

No it wasn't
Looks like you had a yank in residence before you. You will have to change the faceplates (recommended) or use one of these -
