Night time disconnects
I have a year old Sky router (think Sagem)
Lately mainly at midnight I have problems with my internet. I notice this due to xbox live disconnects. At the same time as my xbox disconnecting the internet on my PC does not work either!
My xbox is wireless
My pc is wired
Today when the disconnect occurred I checked my routers config page according to my router all 3 (wan, lan and wlan) were connected but my xbox nor pc could connect to the net.
I am connected to the Wednesbury exchange.
I have only noticed this happen at night time mainly around midnight.

Re: Night time disconnects
One of two things spring to mind, (1)if connecting wirelessly does that router have a power saving function that switches off at a given time? or (2) interference from a device that switches on at that time nearby. Does it come back online?

Re: Night time disconnects
Two things you can do -
1. Post the stats from your router when plugged into the master socket, the one with a capacitor inside. - How to get your router statistics
2. Go to this site, download, install and run Routerstats Lite overnight. Set it to record graphs of your connection speed and noise margin. Post the results.
