Random 2MB Drop/Decreased Noise Margin
hi there,
I have had this line activated for around 12months now, initially it was syncing fine at 10mb/1.2 on a dg834gv5 however one day when I reset the router I could only attain a maximum of 8mb, and noticed I had a 4db SNR drop at any time of day. For example, previously I had 11db at 8mb sync now obviously I have 7.
I have tried the normal, switch filters/routers/rj11 and currently syncing with a 7800n therefore decreased upload sync.
I was thinking DLM could have adjusted the INP profile causing this I am at 1/2symbol now but didn't check before. Or perhaps a engineer has messed with something cabinet/exchange, very odd as havn't had this on any other lines previously. Attenuation reported has increased slightly from what I remember, the 834v5 now reports 44db whereas previously I am sure it was around 41db
Wondered if you have any thoughts,
thanks!

Re: Random 2MB Drop/Decreased Noise Margin
The thing that I've noticed is that your power is way down ie Pwr(dBm): 6.5 10.6.
This should be more like 12dB & 18dB I believe. Not sure of the reasons for this though.

Re: Random 2MB Drop/Decreased Noise Margin
They did some line upgrade in my area and ever since , I've had no end of trouble , My upstream drops dramatically on a speed check site , just done s test now and it's pulling in 548kbps , the upstream speed is 176k , it's usually around 400kbps , the downside to this is I can't upload anything as it takes forever as i say I had no problems till some upgrade was done a few weeks ago
