Downloading torrents through Sky BB
Hey everyone
I'm a Sky Broadband Unlimited customer and recently I have discovered that a certain torrent website has available a TV series that a relative of mine appeared in and I've been trying to track it down for many many years but as the TV show is not commercially available on DVD, I thought it would be impossible to obtain.
The size of the torrent is quite large, 4 x 4GB files and they recommend that you 'seed' the file after you have downloaded to keep your score high but before I start downloading I just wanted to ask for an opinion from some other members, Is it a bad idea to download large torrents with Sky Broadband, I realise a lot of UK ISPs aren't keen on torrenting and although Sky state that they offer unlimited downloads, does this also apply for seeding?
Plus, would you say 16 GB is taking the mickey (with probably a few more GB with seeding added), I realise its quite a large file and wouldn't want Sky getting angry, especially as I only signed up to them one month ago.

What TV series? It's possible that a forum member has it and could copy it to DVDs or memory stick.

Re: Downloading torrents through Sky BB
If they do, I am in a lot of trouble.
...to the tune of around 300GB+ per month.
Seriously though, provided that you are on the Unlimited product, they do not do anything to cap your speeds. There have been instances of a rouge Solicitor chasing people for money, no matter which ISP you were on. Thankfully that Law Firm has now been closed down over the way in which it chased people and their lack of Data Protection procedures.
As for what you download, this is down to your conscience to sort out and any AV software that you may have installed too.
