can't connect my phone or 3DS to wireless connection

i'm unable to connect anything bar my laptop to my wireless, i've tried my phone (HTC Desire) & my Nintendo 3DSThey find the Sky connection fine, but seem unable to use the net/connection
I've put in the correct password
I remember when i set the laptop up I had to phone technical support & change a few details, IP address i think in the Network Managment in the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) if that helps

What router do you have? If it's a sagem or d-link, then log into the router (192.168.0.1 - username = admin : password = sky). Go to 'setup' in the top left. Change the channel from auto (on the sagems) or autoscan (d-link) to another channel and apply it.

Try reconnecting after you've done that.

it has a Mode option with auto & the following options: 54g Auto, 54g Performance, 54g LRS, 802.11b Only
i don't know if they make any difference

i changed the settings to WEP as some sites suggested too, but it hasn't worked

If you are using the default pass key, this is all capital letters, make sure you are entering them as such.

If all of your devices are capable of wireless G, set it to '54g Performance'.

You might also want to try disabling the security in the router completely. If you are able to connect then, it will confirm that it is a security problem. If this is the case change the pass key to one consisting of lower case letters only. Some devices do not like cap letters for some reason, although I did not think HTCs were among them.

Try resetting your router by pushing a pin into the reset hole for 10 secs or until the lights flash. If you have port forwarding set up, back up your settings before you do this.

It does not matter, when reset it will return to the state you received it, with security enabled.
