So I guess my questions are:
- Why, after the 10 days has broadband now become unstable when I was achieving the same sync throughout the training period?
- Can the speed be increased?
- Can the ping be reduced?
- What can cause high pings?
Thanks

When I joined, the first step was easynet.. has Sky changed us to another system?
How many devices are you using? Are you connecting by ethernet or wireless?
Can you do a speedtest on out own tester - Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester

We've only been with them for 3 weeks, so surely the SVBN would have been the first choice anyway? - as we joined with the knowledge of LLU..
We are using powerline's to the Sky+HD box and around 2 xbox's and 3 laptops... not all running at the same time though...
"We have detected that your ISP is Sky. Your download speed is 4056Kbps. Your upload speed is 656Kbps."
Slightly better, although I've tweaked the wireless channel last night. Could it be possible training has started again? - as the MySky portal now states it is..How to get your router statistics

Re: Speed Concern, sync as expected.. throughput slow.
If your first hop was to Easynet, you were not put directly on to the SVBN, but moved later. This happens quite often.
If you are using wireless that is not a bad result. You can expect to loose about 10-15% of your sync speed due to overheads. In addition you will nearly always find the wireless speed is a bit lower than a direct ethernet connection. Try connecting with ethernet, you should get 4.2-4.5Mb
The web page is always a few days behind 'real life', chances are your DLM training is complete. If you want to reduce your ping, call Sky and ask to be put on a gamer profile. Remember too that speedtest.net is not very accurate, especially with ping measurement. To get an accurate figure, open a Command Prompt and type in ping bbc.co.uk

Re: Speed Concern, sync as expected.. throughput slow.
That averages 100ms...
Is there a large benefit to a low ping?
As I've heard the gaming profile lowers speed for stability, is that true? How to get your router statistics
