Just got off the phone to them now, they are aware of the problem and are in the process of getting it resolved. The guy on the phone said they hope to have it resolved in the next 2-3 hours.

Re: Sky DNS problems - Websites randomly give up loading?
Its routing issues not dns
Xbox live has been broken for about 18 hours on and off
and they seem to be breaking everything trying to reroute traffic
I wonder if this is only
People on easynet dslam's or also people on sky isam's
if you do a tracert the first hop after you router will say *.easynet.net or *.sky.com

Re: Sky DNS problems - Websites randomly give up loading?
Yes, about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
Made the mistake of telling them I had confirmed it was sky problem as I could connect to the affected sites if I tethered to my iphone 3 connection. Then spent 5 minutes explaining what this meant and that is wasn't sky connected.
Then spent 10 mins:
going through the motions of having to delete history, disable firewall etc. etc. To be told it must be a problem with the sites!! (Had they not been listening about the fact that I had tested on my 3g connection and that my ipad bia wifi had the same issue.
Finnaly topped it off when I asked if they had finishing testing my line after installation if the speed I was getting was not set. (which they confirmed) but i may not acheive the quoted speeds because I share my connection to multiple devices.
My 3 year old could have done this!

Re: Sky DNS problems - Websites randomly give up loading?
It was odd though as some sites (like the BBC) I had no issues with but other I could access at all until 11.30 this morning then everything was fine again.
