Personally I would get on the phone and call them again. Remember that when calling from a Sky Talk line the call is free, but if you can't do this, then ask them to call you back.

Re: Having trouble getting full speed but neighbours are double our speed?
Ive given them from monday as I know DLM takes a while but im not sure how long. But they have actually managed to make it slower. Geniuses! Im honestly about 100 metres from the exchange, a friend lives miles away and gets 16mb! Useless. We dony have SKYtalk. Id just be happy if they did anything at all to help me. Ive benn told 2 different stories by 2 different SKY people on the phone, both I think were completely made up! I will try them again at some point tomorrow.

Re: Having trouble getting full speed but neighbours are double our speed?
Well Ive given them until today and now running at 3.2 download and 0.1 upload and my stats are
I am not sure what you mean by 3.2, but your present sync of 16MB should give you a download speed of around 1.7MBps, which is very reasonable for ADSL. Can you do a speedtest here - http://www.skyuser.co.uk/speedtester/
Then start in Safe Mode with Networking and repeat the test. Post both results.

The test on that page gives this result. "We have detected that your ISP is Sky - Your current download speed is 4944Kbps, and your current upload speed is 182Kbps."
In my last post I meant it gave me a download of 3.2mb/s and upload of 0.1 mb/s

Upstream 252 kbps Thats your problem there
Phone again ask them to set you to 20 meg 1312 upstream inplulse noise protection off
max delays 8

Are you using wireless? If so plug in an ethernet cable and repeat the test.

Re: Having trouble getting full speed but neighbours are double our speed?
That will do no good there's not enough upstream to ack the downstream requests at 16mbit

Re: Having trouble getting full speed but neighbours are double our speed?
its a wired connection. Bizarrely I randomly tried a test today and got this result
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1539449065.png
So you think if i do as you say "ask them to set you to 20 meg 1312 upstream inplulse noise protection off
max delays 8" , it will improve?
