Has sky email been spam-banned?
For some reason the emails I've sent out tonight haven't been delivered. I get a response from Yahoo! of:
Connections will not be accepted from 94.12.XXX.XXX, because the ip is in Spamhaus's list; see http://postmaster.yahoo.com/ ... .html
and various other cryptic and unhelpful messages from other destinations.
Anyone?

Re: Has sky email been spam-banned?
Try contacting Yahoo as such a wide IP Address range is going to upset a lot of Sky customers. They have an on-line form to complete for complaints etc. (or at least used to).
Alternatively you could disconnection your router for 5 minutes and then reconnect. Hopefully you may get a new IP Address.

Re: Has sky email been spam-banned?
It is Yahoo's problem since obviously they are using Spamhaus as a filter and it is disrupting their clients.
I've just sent a test email using my Yahoo account and it worked perfectly using Windows Live Mail as a client. Currently I have an IP address in the 94.12.x.x range.
Could I suggest that you send a test email using Yahoo's on-line client?
If you are using a client, double check your settings and send some test emails to yourself.

I read the problem that the mail is being sent TO a yahoo email address and yahoo is bouncing it. I can't test it at the moment as I'm not on my laptop so have no idea what my ip address currently is.

Re: Has sky email been spam-banned?
Sorted!
It turns out that Sky has told Spamhaus that emails from a Sky IP address, but NOT sent from Sky's own SMTP server should be marked as spam (and then the Spamhaus client can decide whether to accept/reject/mark-as-spam the email in question).
I was using a mailer on my Linux box that sent the email directly, using its own SMTP implementation. What I've had to do is send the email through an intermediate website that's outside the Sky domain, so Spamhaus doesn't whinge to its clients.
I've added a line to my .pinerc as:
smtp-server=<third-party SMTP server address>/novalidate-cert/user=<my email address on that server>
Here's what I found on Spamhaus: http://www.spamhaus.org/pbl/query/PBL260849

Re: Has sky email been spam-banned?
Sorry - misread the direction.
I've tried sending a sky.com email to my yahoo account and this failed.
I'm logging a complaint with Yahoo! If anyone else wishes to do the same, please feel free to visit this page:
Yahoo! Mail | Help
Edit: Correction, I'd sent it to the wrong address (.com instead of .co.uk). All worked on a retest. In the mean time the link above is the correct one to use.
