Could I do better?
i get the feeling i should be getting a faster connection, am i right? should i get hold of sky? if i did what would i tell them?

How are you set up at the moment? You should be getting more but I'm betting on a setup issue your end holding things back

Plug into the Test socket using only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky and post your stats from there.
How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket
With your present stats Sky are more likely to reduce your speed rather than increase it.
