All downloads fail
Just moved to Sky Unlimited on 18th August, so I'm past the 10 day training period but all downloads are failing to complete. This can be a 10Mb audio podcast or a 1Gb HD video from Revision 3, it doesn't matter...no downloads will download fully. So I can't use iPlayer, iTunes, can't stream from youtube....any updates for my programs fail...I think you get the picture.

I have connected the Sagem 2504 directly to the test socket and disconnected all other phones.
Any help would be most welcome.

Re: All downloads fail
Nope...not a computer problem, as I use multiple devices with multiple OS'es.
Main computer is Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, i5 2500k, 16Gb Ram
Secondary computer is Win Vista Ultimate 64 bit, Q6600, 8Gb Ram
Third computer is AMiGA A1200 PowerPC, AMiGAOS 4.1
2x PS3's, ipad, Denon 1912 AV Amp and all have problems keeping an internet connection long enough to download updates etc.
I use http, ftp, irc and usenet and all methods experience interruptions to downloads.

Re: All downloads fail
You sound like you know what you are on about so now im thinking a software issue would have been fixed if it was a computer issue LOL
Not come across this issue before, the router is poor to be honest, i have never liked them, NAT problems on PS3 and Xbox Live as well
I have a D-Link that sky shipped to me and it is a far better router than the sagem, more stable higher syncs, higher SNR and open NAT on all consoles without fowarding ports or even touching the router settings.
One thing to try is to reset the router by pushing the red button in at the back.
You have a very good line though and with a better router you could achieve slightly higher on the downstream, 21000kbps easilywhich is sky's limit.

Re: All downloads fail
Just throwing something into the mix:
Specifically which Sagem do you have? Your profile indicates that you have the older Sagem F@ST 2504 router. This is dull grey with pimples like a gold ball.
Your post indicates that you may have received the newer Sagem F@ST 2540N. This has a shiny cover. Black on the underside & Silver sides & top.
Are you using a download manager to help you to download the files?
Is it just one source that you are having problems with? Have you tried to download some large files from the M$ website for example?
Do you have another router to hand that you could try? If you do, extract the password details from your router and give this a try, to prove or disprove the router.
