If anyone has the financial backing and it is important enough to them, you could consider pursuing this through the courts.
Do your research first, but I posted a recent FOI request recently detailing plans for future methods of blocking material. In the report it detailed a mistake that caused several thousand sites to be blocked and a costly court case to unblock them and gain compensation.
If the IWF is blocking Mediafire because someone is uploading child porn, or something like that, then Mediafire must take action to identify such material automatically. At the same time I believe that the IWF is acting irresponsibly by blocking so many legitimate accounts.

Re: So, it looks like Sky is blocking Mediafire.com!
It's flaming annoying , I use media fire to upload my syndicated radio shows so stations can download them, I can't access to upload them and if it's because of someone sticking porn on media fire then it's yet another case of the law abiding being made to suffer because of the dregs of society that want to use such a service for their seedy goings on

Re: So, it looks like Sky is blocking Mediafire.com!
I believe in what the IWF are trying to do, but their attempts are futile and only serve to antagonise honest users like your self who want to use this type of server for legitimate purposes. It does not bother the 'dregs' as they will be using anonymous proxies anyway. All you can do is join them by using something like https://server8.kproxy.com/index.jsp or Hotspot Shield this will at least let you get on with your business.

Thanks, managed to get onto media fire but it's taking a while to load the page up .
It's always the same thing no matter what you do, the dregs that want to use things for their seedy stuff mess it up for those that want to use it lawfully .

Re: So, it looks like Sky is blocking Mediafire.com!
Media-fire is always in trouble with IWF. My advice to all legitimate users would be to move over to something like rapidshare or sendspace.
