My noise margin has went UP

That's what you want, DLM is working its magic on your line. I would not be surprised if you hit the 20/1.3 Mb with an 8 or 9db margin. The slight increase in attenuation is nothing to worry about, you might find that the next reading shows it has gone down again.

no change in my stats.....router didnt restart as usual in the early hours

speeds are going up and down from average of 13.5mbp/s - 10.00mbp/s

Don't worry, you still have lots of room for improvement.

The upstream connection has room for improvement as well as the downstream.

You are still on target to get your 20Mb connection.

I think your speed tests may just show how inconsistent Speedtest.net is. Use the speedtest on Thinkbroadband thinkbroadband :: UK Broadband Speed Test or, preferably our own one http://www.skyuser.co.uk/speedtester/

Remember too that only one browser window should be open, the one you are doing the test with.

day 8 and yet another non reset of my router.....
Looks like thats it for me as far as DLM is concerned


i reset it myself this morning to see if there was any difference....

16Mbps still isn't a bad speed, though, is it?? I mean yeah you should get more but it's not like what you have now is slow in the grand scheme of things!
