Coming back to Sky Broadband
Having left Sky in December 2009 to go to O2 I finally decided to take the plunge and come back to Sky.
O2 were very good, if you didn't use their router, but then again Sky were very good before I left them.
I only left for the financial savings, and O2 have now put my BB upto £14.50 per month. (as I don't have an O2 phone)
Sky are now £2 a month cheaper, and I get the benefit of having Sky Anytime+ which doesn't seem to be a bad thing reading threads on here.
I have just submitted my MAC on MySky and hopefully will be back online with Sky very soon.Last edited by NewsreadeR; 28-08-11 at 02:26 AM.

Re: Coming back to Sky Broadband
lol - It's the new router.
So far it appears to be trouble free and people appear to be happy with it.
After the hassle with the Sagem 2304n this is a good sign.
If you happen to have a computer with a 1Gbit port, it would be useful if you could confirm what speed it connects to the router at.
The WiFi is rated to 144mb/s over 20MHz bandwidth on the 2.4GHz channels.
It will also be Sky's router of choice for connecting to their Fibre products when they finally launch them.
PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.

Re: Coming back to Sky Broadband
I'm extremely tempted to come back to Sky. Been with o2 nearly 2 years now and cannot fault them, even the Wireless Box II has been (relatively) problem free. The reason I like o2 is the 1.3Mbps upload every single time. I'm not too fussed on downstream although getting 15Mbps would be nice (I'm on the legacy o2 8Mbps unlimited package) but the upstream is more important.
Just don't know if I can be bothered faffing about with Sky to get less than I currently have, even with my contacts-------------------------------------------
