Broadband speed crash

I've had over 4600kbps ever since i joined sky and i've had no disconnects!. Youtube was badly slow and not loading correctly, websites not loading and timing out. So today i turned everything off as I went out hopeing it would clear up when i came back. I tend not to leave things on if i'm not in the house anyway.

I Came online and again it was hanging, checked my speeds and it was stuck at 1100kbps, then it crashed again about 5mins ago.

Any idea what could've caused it?

It looks like your line has developed a fault. To rule out internal issues plug into you test socket and check the stats from there. You might also want to plug in another router if you have one, just to rule out a faulty modem. It would not have to connect to Sky, just sync to the exchange and show the up/download.

All working still, has been as such since that occasion i posted about. Perhaps it was just a fault that developed in the line thats gone or at the exchange.

Playing up again, internet is plugged into a filtered faceplate and I don't have a spare router. Last time it was doing this annoyance was on the 27th, before then never.

Took the plug out of the faceplate, put it back in and it's back to 4640kbps...

Resetting the router loads of times to get it back to speed, didn't fix it
