Re: Really slow after line rental transfer
As I have said before, if you are on Connect then you are on a BT line which is being rented by Sky and rented back to you. It is still a BT line. Your broadband is the same, rented by Sky and rented back to you.
I would not have thought an engineer visit was necessary, but let's hope he gets things moving in the right direction.

Re: Really slow after line rental transfer
Engineer came out, nothing at all wrong with the line, did however fit one of those nice new ADSL connection boxes.
Here are the stats an hour later!!
WAN PPPoA 391875 513199 0 916 4152 21:07:55
LAN 100M/Full 117899 77624 0 1739 142 21:08:18
WLAN 11M/54M 409869 323923 0 2564 817 21:08:05
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1760 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 61 db 31 db
Noise Margin 10 db 13 db
But within that hour I had contact BT to switch back to their line rental!! I may also consider their broadband due to the isolation where I live, it may be the best option.

I doubt if your line rental has been switched back within an hour, but it looks like BT have succeeded in forcing you back to them, their ploy in messing up your connection has worked.
Sky have lost another customer due to their incompetent staff.
Good luck with your new supplier, no matter who they may be.
