A polite call is definitely in order now. It does appear that a few people have not had DLM kick in correctly.

Remember that it is an automated system, so normally no human interaction is required.

As with anything to do with broadband, you may need to call a few times before you can get someone who knows what is required to be done, so please be patient.

Hurrah! I phoned up and got someone infinitely more useful than the other night. She agreed that DLM should have started Monday but hadn't, so she set my limit to 18mbps and manually requested DLM in the next 24 hours.

Looks like there is a problem with DLM starting. There are several here reporting this and I have no doubt there are many more who are not on the forum.

A bit worrying, really, as those who don't watch their speeds all that closely may not even notice they're only at 4mbps, if they're only doing regular browsing and games.

Your line has been manually profiled, DLM will not kick in unless you have a fault on your line, in which case it will just reduce the speed until the line is stable. You will not see an increase.

I'm not expecting any more out of it, it's performing as it did with O2, they just didn't have any of this DLM at the start.

Very slight change in speed, today, and a change in the noise margin.
