Re: Need a new router
Cheers Scubbie, I will look into that router. I am just trying to decide if it's worth getting my own router or use Sky's own. I have managed to extract the username and password, but I wouldn't know what other settings to put into the new router, such as MTU, etc.
I too am worried by Sky's advisers telling customers its not against the T & C's or they dont exist. Maybe they updated the T & C's quietly?

Sky Terms and Conditions - New to Sky
Here...it says New To Sky, but I am sure it applies to existing customers as well.

Re: Need a new router
I've just had a scan as I'm a new Sky BB/Talk customer, it still contains the language about only using the Sky-supplied router:
(d) Sky Broadband must only be accessed via your Wireless Router. Your Wireless Router is not supplied as being capable of being used to access any other Internet service.
What's confusing is the preamble:
You must be an active Sky TV subscriber at all times during this Contract. If your Sky TV Contract ends or your viewing is suspended, Sky Broadband will automatically end/be suspended too (Condition 1(c))
I'm not a Sky TV customer which makes this whole set of Ts&Cs rather strange!

Thank you. It just confirms that the Sky router must be used
