Phone Line Repaired - Do these stats look right now?
About a year ago I posted a message about my poor downlaod speeds and how my speed would slowly decrease from 4.0mb down to about 0.7mb.
I fitted a new phone socket with filterted faceplate all to no avail.
Recently my speed dropped even further and my telephone line also became terrible with a lot of background noise.
Sky agreed to send BT Openreach engineer out and they confirmed a corroded line. Luckily I had a second, redundant line coming into my house. Cables were switched and now I have a clear phone line and a speed which immediately jumped and has held steady (after 5 days) of 4.0mb.
I don't believe Sky have done any further testing. Given my stats below should I ask Sky to try and increase the speed further or is this as good as it's likely to get?
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4096 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 52 db 27 db
Noise Margin 11 db 16 db
(Noise margin on the downstream is usually between 9 and 11db)
Thanks!

Could get more speed. If you've had no drop outs since the line has been fixed ring Sky and ask them to uncap both your down and upstream.
