I'm not sure what I did other than restart both NAS drive and router (which I'd done before) but now it seems to be working!

restarting the whole network could be all that is needed at times.
Glad to hear that it is working.
Make sure you back up your settings on your router and NAS if possible so if anything happens you don't need to go through all this again.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
