Re: Downstream dropped after changing router
I thought the downstream was updated every 3 days by the exchange, but the TP-Link router changes every time it is rebooted so what I'm getting right now is up to date. I can't work it out I guess I could just ignore it for a week and see if it sorts itself out..
Sync rate will varie, it always will on a copper ADSL service due to interference basically.
Only time sync would appear normal for you is when your hitting 8096kbps on a decent line. As it will handle more but tops out at 8096kbps.
It jumping a few kbps is no problem thats normal.
Like in my previous post, this is most likely the cause.

Re: Downstream dropped after changing router
Cant believe no one else has stated this...
The maximum sync with BT ADSLMax is actually 8128kbps. It is the fact that he can't get back up to this sync, which he had before, with the Sky router which is the puzzle.
