Re: errors on line help?
You have a few CRC errors. Compared to another active thread they are quite light.
If you are using the Master Socket, could you confirm whether or not you have any telephone extensions?
If you do, then these may be related to the errors.
Personally I would ask if you could plug the router into the test socket, which is found behind the faceplate on your master socket.
It would also suggest that when you do this, you turn off your router for a few moments, and the power it up. This is purely to clear the CRC errors logged in the router.
Leave things until tomorrow evening and take another look at the full router stats.
If there are more errors, then you will need to contact your line provider (i.e. whom ever you pay your line rental to) and arrange for BTO to fix your telephone line. If this isn't Sky, then don't mention the ADSL problems as they will attempt to shirk their responsibility.

Re: errors on line help?
That amount of CRC errors over a period of 8 hours is nothing to worry about.
If you speed increases when connected to test/master rather than where u are now then that is normal.
Monitor in the test socket.
Will more than likely see everything is fine.
And i expect, atm you dont see any impact with browsing, streaming or downloading do you?

Re: errors on line help?
sorry the last sentence in my post i ment to say 600k increase on the test socket!
i shall try again later on and see, we do have extensions around the house but they are not in use.

Re: errors on line help?
There are a few reasons why you have the speed drop using the test socket. These can include the following:
- corroded connectors
- damaged connectors
- wiring issues
One thing at a time though. We shall wait to see if there are any significant CRC errors or other problems when you are using the test socket.
