DGN1000 Router & Sky Broadband, Help!!

Hi Guys,

i am having trouble setting up my new Netgear DGN1000 router with Sky broadband, can anybody tell me if this router if proven not to work with Sky? i have input my sky username and password... but still no internet access. help requred asap!!

Can you give me some more information about your issues? Are you trying to connect wired or wireless?

This is so cool. Official Sky rep's response in a non-sky router thread. I am going to bookmark this thread.

Sky like to block a lot of routers they dont supply which is extremly unfair.

Ring them up and ask them why they do this and if they can help you set yours up.
After all its an ADSL circuit so why do they not let you use your own router.

Instead they try to make you use theirs.
People have managed to set theirs up on their own so do some research.

You can't call Sky and ask them how to setup a non-Sky router as it's against T&Cs - you have to work it out for yourself (by reading this forum)
