Whats it for? Just that hosting a server is against T&Cs

Re: Setting up a Dedicated Server
What's it for?
Me and a friend just wanted to mess around on Garry's Mod

Re: Setting up a Dedicated Server
Would be against the T&C's like stated.
But a lot of things are.
Might seem silly, but if you can connect local but not online you sure your router and server (if using firewall) is all setup correctly?
Had this issue before with a server i setup.

It's fine now, I decided to do a Local Minecraft Server instead, so my friends can come and play minecraft together when they come round

Re: Setting up a Dedicated Server
What about running a server inside your Lan?
Surely that would be allowed if it's set up so no one outside can access it?

Re: Setting up a Dedicated Server
No problem with that, it is not using Sky's bandwidth.

Re: Setting up a Dedicated Server
Just a quick question on this topic:
Is it againsed the Terms and Conditions to do a private server between you and your friends?
For instance if I go into a game and host a private server which only my friends can connect to, is that againsed the T&Cs?
I'm not with Sky at the moment (As I'm not on an LLU'ed exchange) but it would be interesting finding this out.BT Unlimited Up to 20Mb: 21CN (IFTN - Infineon Chipset on a Huawei MSAN)
