This is a discussion on Just been connected - router stats within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; How long will this training take before I get faster speeds? I am hoping for around the same 14 -15MB ...

Just been connected - router stats
How long will this training take before I get faster speeds? I am hoping for around the same 14 -15MB that I had on O2.

Up to 72 hours before training will kick in and last up to 10 days. Stats look good, so let DLM do its thing.

Due to Sky's higher default margin, 13-14 Mb would be about right.I am hoping for around the same 14 -15MB that I had on O2.

Looks like I will only be able to get just over 13....here is the latest stats:

Better upstream today than yesterday but worse downstream. Do you think they will both peak to maximum reached during DLM?

I've just been connected like yourself & with a slightly higher attenuation than you these are my stats.

Connection Speed 14503 kbps 945 kbps
Line Attenuation 30.0 db 19.0 db
Noise Margin 7.1 db 15.1 db
This was from my one & only jump by the DLM.

For both of you, I'd expect the upstream connection to be improved. The downstream may also be improved by reducing the upstream capability.
Keep an eye one things and see how it goes.
