Don't worry just yet, I have seen DLM do magic with speed and noise margins. Don't be tempted to call Sky unless your speed plummets and stays down.

Oh indeed - I'm not going to touch it - just keeping a tab on it. Just looked and it's coming back now, 6.3. Weather has been very changeable today - I.e. Sunny then throwing it down, then sunny again.
I read that this can have an effect.

Re: New Sky User (well, ordered tonight!)
The Weather will only affect your telephone line if either the connections are exposed to the elements or the protective casing is damaged or where it is using something else to affect the line (i.e. a tree blowing in the wind or a pipe carrying the cable has become displaced).
Sometimes the cause is easy to identify, other times it can be very difficult.

Ha very good!
It's dropped to 15196 this morning, however noise margin is now 8dB. Does take it's time eh?

Sorry, was on my iPhone and didn't take note of it all.
All I have seem to have cached is that the upload is still 945.
To memory (and I could be well off here) the upload attenuation and noise margin were still 15dB as before.

Re: New Sky User (well, ordered tonight!)
No problem.
Remember that it does work over several days. Making small tweaks each time will get the best for your connection.
It can be annoying when someone knows that their line is good enough to support 5dB or 3dB noise margins when Sky aims for 7dB. Hopefully you;ll end up with a good upload, as well as download speed. You already have a far better connection than you ever did previously.
