Oh neat, saint_david, thanks for that. I can get Bing too (never thought of using Bing before!)
Except that I still can't get to any of the pages, as they won't load! I can get Bing, but none of its search results.
Given up on the Sky helpline - was on hold for 1 hr 10 mins and they still hadn't answered.

Re: Google \ DNS issue?
Looking at each of your profiles, you are all using different Sky routers and are located across the country. This rules out initial questions, but I am wondering if it might be related to some other common factor.
Loading the Google search engine was no issue for me here.
I am wondering if it is a particular set of servers of IP range that is causing a problem.
Mine are:
IP: 90.205.nnn.nnn
Network Type: MER
Sky DNS Servers: 90.207.238.97 & 90.207.238.99
Also some of you may wish to try the OpenDNS servers instead of Google's:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Re: Google \ DNS issue?
Try doing the following and see what you get, could be a server down somewhere.
start -> Run -> type: CMD then hit ok/enter -> (command window opens) type: tracert google.co.uk -> hit enter you should see something like the following (can take a few minutes to complete)
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

Re: Google \ DNS issue?
Back up for me now and all working
I just lost web access to Google and ebay that I could see, but I could get to BBC, this site, digital spy and all the daily paper sites.
Sky have posted this;
http://www.sky.com/helpcentre/servicestatus
While I was waiting this morning for it all to get back to normal...
I used bing search while google wasnt accessible, that was a bad experience, the searches were very poor and not very relevant and I had uk option selected, but still had all US sites, a joke! I wont be using that again.
And Yahoo is a very messy page on opening and displaying search results, long time since I have been there, yuk, glad to be back to working Google.
