Migrated Wrongly??
Hello all,
I'm on Sky Unlimited, but had been wondering recently if I was getting the full speed I should be out of my line. 7dB noise margin, 45dB attenuation, 3km line length, all very stable, and some online checkers reckoned I should see at least 7mbps out of those figures.
However, I was only getting 4.5mbps. Tier 2 switched me to a gaming profile, and were kind enough to send out an Openreach engineer today, who very rapidly spotted the problem!
Turns out I'm not on ADSL2. Sky have 24mbps ADSL2 equipment in our exchange, but my line is routing through the existing BT Wholesale ADSL Max equipment, so I'm never going to see anywhere near 8mbps!
I've just rung tech support again and been told I'll get a callback again within 24 hours to hopefully migrate me properly.

Post your stats and we'll go from there:
How to get your router statistics
But in a nutshell, ALL ISPs go through 1 exchange. Unless you're on Sky Connect (which is a rebranded BTW product) you'll already be on the Sky LLU service-------------------------------------------

Re: Migrated Wrongly??
If it were the case that you were still on the btw network, then CST wouldn't have been able to actually profile the line manually.
Post up your stats.
