Sky router stopped working
Hi
My sky router was working fine and all of a sudden it doesn't. My iPhone, laptop and ps3 can't access the wireless router. They all say they're connected but none can access the Internet.
All green lights are on the router and it's behaving the way it was previously.
The ip address was 192.168.0.1 I used to be able to log on and access the router settings, I can't log on at all now (connected via wireless and hard connected via cable).
I tried a different micro filter and resetting the router etc. I'm not sure what to do???
Under default gateway in CMD Prompt (when I do ipconfig/all) there is nothing. In my network connections it says I'm connected to my router but "no Internet connection".
Help pls

Re: Sky router stopped working
What router do you have? (Look on the sticker on the bottom of the router, if need be, and reply with the manufacturer).

V2 netgear in that case. What lights are on, specifically?
Apart from resetting the router and power cycling, there's little that you can do if it's not communicating locally to any device. Call Sky and they'll send a replacement.

Re: Sky router stopped working
The top light, not the next one and then two more below that. No Ethernet connections as theres nothing plugged into it. I've reset it 4 times. It's a broken router right? Get a new one from sky?

Re: Sky router stopped working
All that I could suggest:
- Hold reset down for ~40 seconds
- Power cycle
- Check ipconfig via cmd again for any ip/subnet/defaultgateway
If still no ip etc. being assigned, I'd call Sky and have them send out a replacement. One tip:
If you don't want a lengthy and probably painful phone call, then I'd advise telling them that you have no lights whatsoever on the router (turn it off before calling). They'll send a replacement on the call.
