Router rebooted, filter changed, still in test socket. These are the results. Again line is only 2 days old but I would have expected more.

Re: Line speed
This is the maximum speed your line supports. I appreciate you are already aware of how your cables length to the exchange affects your speed. While geographically you may have moved closer to the exchange then where you were before when you got 10megs, your line may not have the most convenient route.
You will get similar speeds with all ADSL based ISP's.
If you are looking for some good speeds and really low pings you may want to find out if virgin or FTTC is available in your street.
You may also want to fire a quick email to sky requesting to be put on the gamer profile. Sometimes emails can be more successful then calls. In technical terms being put on the gamer profile means having your max delays lowered to 8. Include this in your email and they might figure out what you are on about.

Re: Line speed
Ok tnx 4 the help but i dont accept that moving closer to the exchange makes my speed slower. This is after all 2011 not 1990. A speed at 25% of their advertised maximum is an absolute fail. And I asked about the Gamer profile and the Sky rep had no idea what I was on about, guess its time to call round and see if someone else can deliver a service which they at least half promise!!. No disrespect to the previous person who has given me information and I appreciate ur input m8.

Re: Line speed
The line can take different routes, moving closer does not mean you will get a better speed.
