Help regarding my Upload speed

When i run speed tests i get 13mb download speed and 720kbps upload

Recently my upload has dropped not only in my actual speed i get but also what my line says i could get. It was as high as 1.1 upload on the sync, and i was getting around 830kbps for a week, when i asked the sky guy he said it would most likely set around 1mb upload and get about that on my line. This was during first week of getting connected on my new line. I realise it varys during this time.

But as weeks gone by both upload speeds have dropped as i say. Why would this happen can i contact SKY to get it back to how it was. If the line can take 1.1 upload why is it now sitting at 864kbps(and not even getting that barely over 700kbps!).....

Upload speed important for gaming.

Ring Sky and tell them to uncap the upstream (if it isn't uncapped already) and lower INP.

There's no more margin there for upstream
on sky's 9db target margin for upstream

Its odd that you say you used to get 1.1meg

do a tracert www.sky.com and paste it here

Skys SNR is 7db up and down

but everyone i have seen is set at 9 on the upstream and 7 on down

How do you what they're set to? Unless you've seen the actual line configuration you can't comment. It's always been 7 for up and down, and I can ask for confirmation from my old CST colleagues if required

I know that its supposed to be 7 up
but almost every modem stats i have seen its 9
if its any lower its fluctuated after sync

i have even had a nice cst tweak me in the past
and he confirmed it was 7 but i still synced in at 9.5

I've not worked for them since 2009, and I'm not even on Sky BB

I'm not saying it doesn't look like upstream margins are higher, all I'm saying is the DLM engine never moves the SNRs. Only a manual configuration would cause it to change

I think it must be down to router sync with the DSLAM/ISAM
