Urgent Help
I came from BT to Sky (Tv wise) and got the unlimited package. anyway, I plugged everything in and worked fine.. until I got my first few disconnections in 1 day. I ran Speedtest.net and it showed my connection speed at 0.9 Mbps and with it choppy so I changed the filters. Now at full speed, I can bearly use Sky's Broadband becase it keeps disconnecting from the net. I've tried blocking ports, disabling the Modems firewall, reset to factory default but keeps disconnecting everytime their's a "Kernal Intrusion". Modem Log:

Re: Urgent Help
The bad news is that you appear to be on Connect, which is possible the worst broadband package available. You have jumped out of the pot into a very large fire I'm afraid.
Rather than trying to get your connection fixed, get your MAC and move to another ISP. Plusnet is just one of the many who are far better than Connect.
Have a look at this thread which started 2 years ago, things have not improved,

Re: Urgent Help
@Above: The modem is starting to randomly restart itself hence why the logs clears itself. I know it maybe a little early, but can a faulty modem be ruled out?

Re: Urgent Help
Also, In the 3 months I've been with BT (Before Sky) It had no problems what so ever. The Kernal intrusions isn't bothering me, it's the modem itself. I keeps disconnecting when ever their's an intrusion.
Does it break the ToS of Sky to use your own Modem?

Re: Urgent Help
You are not on sky BB Unlimited. It is not available at you telephone exchange:
SamKnows - Broadband Availability - Amlwch (WNAML) Exchange
There are not other LLU providers there and unlikely to be any for the foreseeable future since your exchange is rated 'Market 1'.
Your best bet is to drop Sky BB Connect and change ISPs promptly, as suggested by Isitme in post #2.
There are many others who are able to provide far a better package that what sky can with the Connect package.
PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.
