Are sky blocking rapidshare.com?

Are they?

I have been unable to log in to my account there or any rapidshare page.

I know RS is running ok as I have checked with several people who have normal access.

It seems there are other sky users who have this problem.

I have only had this problem since yesterday.

It does look to me like Sky have blocked all access to Rapidshare.com.

Sky have not blocked access to rapidshare. This gets thrown around all the time here. It is not sky that is blocking access, you just need to adjust some settings.

I have been able to access Rapidshare.com for many a month up until yesterday.

So what has changed?

I have read reports that I am not the only sky user this is happening to, that is why I asked the question.

I have exactly the same problem. I couldn't access my rapidshare or megaupload account since yesterday. The site just won't load, and I can't download anything using download manager.
I have premium accounts on both RS and MU.
I could access it yesterday at about 23:00 and it lasted a few minutes, then stopped working again, maybe it is too busy?
I never had such problems before, so I don't think it has anything to do with settings.
Can you help please?

If you are having problems accessing rapidshare.com it may very well be because they are amalgamating with RapidShare Webhosting + Webspace

It seems the switchover is happening now.

I tried accessing rapidshare.com from my blackberry (mobile internet phone) and it got through at lightning speed..... tried with sky broadband.... nothing!

Then remembered about their sister site rapidshare.de..... it was then that I discovered this.

I have spoken with sky who insists they are NOT blocking this site.

solution...... use this as pointed out by another member http://195.122.131.250/ meanwhile, wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Post deleted as it did not work as expected.

Sky only block sites flagged by the IWF.

Megaupload works right now, but it takes about 2 minutes to start downloading. Rapidshare is still down

Rapidshare is now working for me.
